How We work

Our practice is 100% virtual and only offers services by video.  We find this helps us to decrease costs and make treatment more affordable, as well as provide convenience to our clients to not have to worry about travel time or costs to fit in therapy sessions.  Certainly, while personal preference matters, and it is important to many people to be seen physically in person, we have had a lot of success with virtual therapy sessions and found that there are many who prefer treatment while in the comfort of their own homes.

We are also Private Pay and do not accept health insurance.

Further Details...

Virtual Practice

  • First, you may call or e-mail us for a consultation.  During our call, we will discuss what you are looking for and determine if we are a good fit for each other.
  • If so, we'll schedule our first appointment and help you create a secure account with us in order to receive the hyperlink to access our video platform for our sessions.

  • It is important that you have a device (computer / laptop / tablet / phone) and internet connection suitable for this.

  • We do not recommend using a phone for our video sessions, however, many people do find it sufficient (having a larger screen makes it easier for you to see information we may share from our screen to yours).

  • If using your cell phone for our appointments, please note that you may be billed your standard data rates by your cell phone provider.

  • We ask that you treat virtual sessions the same as in-person sessions by minimizing distractions (i.e., having private/safe space, having phone on vibrate/silent), and not attending to other tasks during our time together.
  • We use a secure platform for our video connection to protect your information.
  • You will also be provided access to a secure messaging system that we can use to send information to each other as needed/appropriate.

Private Pay

We understand that using health insurance to pay for therapy sessions is a primary means by which many are able to access treatment.  We also consider the limitations, constraints, and unnecessary steps mandated by insurance companies can also interfere with our ability to provide the services we evaluate to be most clinically appropriate for each individual.

Fortunately, there are many providers who do accept insurance, and many who do not.  We encourage you to choose the most fitting provider with the most suitable payment options for you.

In order to make the cost of therapy accessible to as many potential clients as we can, we offer a sliding scale that is based on your ability to pay.

We will discuss your pay rate options during our initial consultation so you may determine if it is something you can and would like to commit to.

For those with out-of-network benefits with their insurance company, you may request a Superbill from us and you may submit it to your insurance to see if they will reimburse you.  We cannot guarantee their reimbursement, or assist in the process.

Please let us know during our consultation if you are interested in this so we can further discuss details and any impact on treatment it may have.
